Expensive keyword research tools may not be needed anymore if you know how to use the web correctly for keywords without paying a lot. One tool we all are aware of is chat GPT, No I am not saying that the blog can be written by chat GPT but Chat GPT can be very useful for knowing the keywords if you know the right trick to doing so.
Keywords basics and types of keywords
When you write an article targeting a specific keyword, it often ranks for multiple related keywords. For example, "How much can you make from YouTube" and its variants like "How much can you make from YouTube views and Likes" essentially have the same search intent. Instead of writing separate articles for each type, you create one comprehensive article targeting the primary intent.
Understanding Keywords type
Navigational Keyword- Used by users looking for a specific page on your site.
Commercial Keywords- Keywords where users are in the research phase, often leading to purchases.
Informational Keywords- Users are seeking information or learning something related to their niche.
Transactional Keywords- Users are ready to make a purchase
Let's start with setting a base example such as "Best Software tool"
Tool 1: Google auto suggestion or the Alphabet soup- Now let's start with the above example "Best Software tool" Then you will start typing the alphabet one letter at a time.
With each Alphabet, you will get a ton of keywords that can be appropriate for your business.
Tool 2: Question Bar- The moment you get relevant keywords in the Google auto-suggest just scroll down you will find a ton of Questions that are asked frequently now you can also incorporate these as keywords for your website or blogs. You can keep adding Albhabets and new Keywords keep on appearing and you can sort out the best Keywords and use those in your website or blog.
Tool 3: Google Trends - By now you must have figured out a few ways to know the most useful keywords to use in your blog or website. By Google Trends you can search Keywords and see which are more trending, you will also find filters below for Region, Time, Categories, etc that can make the search more accurate.
Tool 4: AnswerThePublic- This is another cool tool to know keywords for your niche but there is one thing to remember this site is limited to 3 free searches per day. Enter a seed keyword, select the country, and hit Search and it will suggest questions related to your seed keyword. It will provide you with "proposition keywords", "comparison keywords", "in alphabetical order" and "related keywords".
Below is the result when I searched Software Tools it gave me tons of keywords to select from and use as per my requirements.
Tool 5: Ahrefs- Ahrefs is a paid tool but it also provides a free version for searching keywords and that is very easy to use as well. You just have to enter keywords and then you will be provided with related keywords for the same. Below is the result I got when I searched for software tools-

Tool 6: ChatGPT- With the right prompt you can find a ton of topics that are trending directly from chatGPT and it is unlimited you just have to keep adding new questions to the given prompt.
First prompt- Assume that you have just started your software agency and it is service-based, please provide me a list of blog topics that will be SEO friendly and bring traffic to my website.
